Mandolin World Record Documentary Releases on Apple TV

How to Break a World Record—out now on Apple TV.

The new feature documentary How To Break A World Record details the journey of Stephen Oliver and the band Brother Oliver as they set out to achieve an unthinkable feat—play a mandolin for over 27 hours straight to break a Guinness World Record.

Along the way they discover it’s far more challenging than they had anticipated—and the group runs into an unexpected mandolin rival from India who has his eyes fixed on the same prize.

That storyline, combined with the rock and roll personas of the bandmates and their own storied background in the world of music entertainment, creates a compelling viewer experience—a uniquely inviting look into the lives of musicians as they work to accomplish the impossible.

“We knew attempting a world record would be a challenge, but we had no idea the amount of plot twists and turns that we would run into along the way,” - Stephen Oliver.

The movie marks the first feature film to cover the entire behind the scenes process of a Guinness World Record attempt—and it’s most likely the first feature film with the subject of mandolin at the helm.

How To Break A World Record is out now on Apple TV & Prime Video as well as YouTube Movies, Google Play, and DirecTV.
