New on Tubi: How To Break A World Record

How To Break A World Record (2024)—now streaming on Tubi

The battle for a mandolin Guinness World Record is now a new addition to the Tubi movie catalog. The feature documentary, How To Break A World Record, follows the band Brother Oliver as they attempt to beat the record for the ‘longest marathon playing mandolin’—a feat that would require the band’s electric mandolin player Stephen Oliver to play continuously for over 27 hours straight.

The plot line thickens further with the emergence of an arch nemesis mandolin player in India, who proverbially “enters the chat” mid-film and would become an entertaining staple in the saga—both during and after the completion of the documentary.

The film is what the group describes as a “wholesome version of a jackass movie”—capturing the humor,  adventure, pain and agony of the journey in real-time as they set out to accomplish the ridiculous feat.

How To Break A World Record originally released in June of 2024 to regional acclaim following its Audience Choice Award at Tryon International Film Festival and Film of Distinction Award at Reedy Reels Film Festival

The documentary is now available for streaming on Tubi
